Alma Littera is a well-established brand in the Lithuanian book market, with a long history of supplying high-quality books and educational materials. In order to stay competitive in today’s digital age, they decided to revamp their website by re-designing it and setting up an online store.

It was also essential that the Alma Littera team could easily access and manage the orders from the website and keep track of customer information, while at the same automating the order fulfillment processes as much as possible.

Their previous website solution did not have the option to buy books online. This was the primary goal – develop an e-commerce store with all the essential functions like a secure payment gateway, customer accounts and delivery integration.

It was also essential to create a website that would allow Alma Littera customers to quickly and easily find the books they were looking for. The website should be intuitive and easy to use, with clear navigation and a modern look and feel.

It was also important to set up a robust back-end system that would enable efficient order processing and management.

We chose the Shopify platform as the best fit for Alma Littera’s needs, and built a custom website that met all their specifications. The website was based on a theme but required a lot of custom-coded customizations to tailor it to Alma Littera’s branding and needs.

The result is a modern, easy-to-use website with powerful search and filtering capabilities that allows customers to quickly find the books they need. The website also has a powerful back-end system that allows Alma Littera staff to manage customer information, parcels, and payments efficiently.

To provide a smooth user experience and increase sales, we also implemented additional features like wishlist to save items for later, customer accounts to keep track of orders, product reviews to show customers the quality of the books available, and product bundles for up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

The first 2 weeks brought in 250+ orders and a significant increase in traffic (see screenshot below).

This is an essential feature for any online store with a wide selection of products.

Customers can filter and sort the books based on various criteria, making it easier to find what they need. At the same time, it has to be easily managed by Alma Littera staff, so they can make changes to the product catalog.

Payment system and parcel delivery integration

We set up payment integration with Paysera that allows customers to pay securely with their credit cards, and delivery integration with the biggest Lithuanian parcel delivery companies – DPD & Omnisend.

This makes the checkout process smoother and faster for customers, and order fulfillment easier for Alma Littera staff.
